Empowering Anganwadi Workers through Digital Literacy

Reengus, August 14, 2024: A digital literacy workshop, "Digital Media: Awareness and Usage," was organized by the Saksham Sanchar Foundation in Ringas on Tuesday, with ICDS Additional Director Chandmal Verma as the chief guest. The workshop aimed to educate Anganwadi workers on the positive use of social media, content creation, and other essential digital tasks.

Verma emphasized the importance of digital media in promoting government schemes and cautioned against the negative impacts of excessive mobile usage, especially among children. He appealed to Anganwadi workers to raise awareness about the risks of mobile usage among children and families.

Dr. Dharmveer Meena, DD ICDS, Sikar, stressed the need for Anganwadi workers to be digitally aware and addressed their problems. The workshop featured training sessions on data management by Dimple Arora and a keynote address by Archana Sharma, Director of SSF.

This innovative initiative aims to empower women by equipping them with digital literacy skills, enabling them to effectively utilize digital media for promoting government schemes and addressing social issues. The workshop will continue for a week, featuring online training sessions by experts in the coming days.
