Media Masterclass Gets Hands-On at Rajasthan’s First Constitution Park

Students enrolled in the unique Media Masterclass program at Army Public School, Jaipur, recently embarked on a practical learning experience unlike any other. This initiative, a joint effort by the Sakshana Sanchar Foundation (SSF) and the Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA), took the students to a fitting location for media training – India’s first Constitution Park, situated within the Rajasthan Raj Bhavan.

The meticulously designed Constitution Park, brainchild of Governor Kalraj Mishra, served as an immersive classroom for the young media enthusiasts. Here, they delved into the intricate process of crafting India’s Constitution, gaining valuable insights into the contributions of the great personalities who shaped this cornerstone of the nation.

But the learning didn’t stop there. The students enriched their understanding by actively engaging with the park’s informative displays – taking photos, capturing videos, and crafting articles based on their observations. This practical application allowed them to translate theory into real-world media creation.

Elevating the experience further were the esteemed guests present – Murari Sharma, a senior journalist with Doordarshan, and Urvashi Dev Rawal, a prominent figure from Hindustan Times. These media veterans provided in-depth knowledge on crafting compelling news stories. From the nuances of news coverage to the art of blogging, vlogging, and effective writing, Mr. Sharma and Ms. Rawal generously shared their expertise, ensuring the students grasped the complexities of different media formats.

The interactive session offered invaluable opportunities for the young learners. They not only gained practical guidance but also had the chance to address their questions and gain insights from seasoned professionals in the field. This exchange fostered a dynamic learning environment, propelling the students towards a deeper understanding of the media landscape.

The Media Masterclass program’s initiative at the Constitution Park serves as a testament to the program’s innovative approach to education. By combining theoretical knowledge with practical application and facilitating interaction with industry veterans, the program equips students with the skills and confidence to navigate the exciting and ever-evolving world of media.
